1. adjective, informal Impressively stylish and attractive. He looked so sharp in his new three-piece suit. A: "That is one sharp jacket!" B: "Thanks, I just got it!"
2. noun, informal One who uses guile and deception to cheat or swindle others, especially in gambling; a sharper. The card sharp ended up conning the people out of nearly $3,000. The notorious sharp came to know every trick possible in order to game the system in his favor.
