Tough, aggressive, or vigorous. Usually said of a man. The character is yet another ornery, hard-drinking, two-fisted stereotype of so many other Westerns that have come before him. My stepdad was a real two-fisted, working-class man, someone who didn't have the time or patience for any touchy-feely emotional stuff.
