The intangibility of investment-based wealth means many people's suns have set now that the market has crashed. A: "I think that senator is too old to become his party's presidential nominee." B: "I know, his sun really has set."
2. One has died. The artist is so wildly popular that, even after her sun has set, her records will earn her estate millions of dollars for years to come. My parents just called from the hospital to tell me that Uncle Ed's sun has set. Even before the doctor opened her mouth, her grim facial expression told us that Bridget's sun had set.
