These Fair Trade system workers tend to be economically challenged and barely able to keep their families fed, in some cases, but they are willing to put in a hard day's work.
My ancestors were proud of their ability to roll up their sleeves and put in a hard day's work to keep food on the table and clothing on their children's backs.
In all walks of life and business some people will earn more than it's considered they deserve, but I would think the majority of council workers put in a hard day's work and earn their money.
