A period of excitement, success, jubilation, or opulence has changed to a period of sobriety, calm, reflection, and/or regret. I'm afraid the party is over for the cinderella team, who defied all odds by reaching the semifinals. We felt we were invincible back then, when earnings were high and everything seemed possible. Looking back now, long after the party's over, I think we all were a bit foolish with our money.
