We have always bought homes that need doing up as we find it so much more satisfying to put our own stamp on a property.
As you walk around the house, jot down which jobs need doing in each room so you can come up with a comprehensive list of essential maintenance.
The only work I see being carried out is the filling of pot holes, some of which I have reported, which in a very few weeks need doing again.
