more like it

1. More realistically; to be more precise. (Sometimes used humorously or ironically.) A: "When we lived in the city, we were in a tiny one-room apartment." A: "Broom closet, more like it." And so I was thinking—daydreaming, more like it—how I would quit my job and open a bakery.
2. Closer to how one wants or expects something to be. A: "So I spoke to my manager, and she said that we can offer you overnight shipping at no extra cost." B: "Well, that's more like it."
