Design is dialogue, the goal of which is simply (and impossibly) to lose oneself in the design process: "this self-forgetting with another person over some matter, because one doesn't lose oneself in the other, and one doesn't speak with another person, but with him about something.
It can be a bit of a bind when, trying to lose oneself in the plot of a film in an attempt to believe that it's real, one finds oneself asking how the director did something or how the actor knew to do what he did.
It is very easy to lose oneself in the sheer aroma of high fashion fabrics, and the geometric shapes that adorn each hanger.
