leg man

1. A reporter or journalist who is assigned to research or gather information, as at the scene of an event or from various sources. (Variant spelling of "legman.") I learned some valuable skills about networking in my time as a leg man for the newspaper.
2. A person, typically an assistant, employed or assigned to carry out various tasks, such as running errands or delivering messages, especially outside of the office. (Variant spelling of "legman.") I worked as a leg man for a number of years in the giant corporation before finally being promoted to a position with a bit more responsibility.
3. slang A man who is specifically attracted to or interested in the shape of a person's (typically a woman's) legs. Some men are preoccupied with the size of a woman's bust, but I've always been more of a leg man myself.
