Despite all the attention provided to understanding dimensions of work in the era of welfare reform, a basic issue has been overlooked: Do TANF leavers like their jobs? It was found that the significant factors that discouraged parents from sending their children to school were poverty, value for money, and fear of prevailing unemployment for school leavers and misconceptions about female education. |
