1. to be uncontrollably excited. The band's high-energy music left the crowd foaming at the mouth for more.
2. to be uncontrollably angry. And there was my mom, still foaming at the mouth, still shouting at my brother.
Etymology: based on the literal meaning of foam at the mouth (= to have an illness that causes liquid and bubbles to collect around the mouth)

Before that, I never knew what it was to foam at the mouth, but now the action of the sharp bit on my tongue and jaw, and the constrained position of my head and throat, always caused me to froth at the mouth more or less.
I might foam at the mouth, but bring me a doll to play with, give me a cup of tea with sugar in it, and maybe I should be appeased.
Won't he be apt to foam at the mouth a bit and stop giving you parts in his companies?
