abet someone in something
to help someone in some deed; to help someone do something illegal. Surely you do not expect me to abet you in this crime!

aid and abet someone

Cliché to help someone; to incite someone to do something, possibly something that is wrong. (Originally a legal phrase.) He was scolded for aiding and abetting the boys who were fighting.

He requested the court to issue orders to the government to shoot down the drones besides issuing the directives for registration of FIR against former US president George Bush, incumbent president Barrack Obama, former president Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, incumbent president Asif Ali Zardari and prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani declaring them co-accused in drone attacks in connection with their abetment in the attacks.
As per international recommendations, abetment and attempt crimes are made punishable (sections 84B and 84C).
