Every year we hold our party to put a sparkle back into the lives of youngsters who need a treat after being sick, injured, suffered a family loss or who may have been a tower of strength to others and deserve to be spoilt.
Special thanks must go to Jonathan and Serena Geake and all at the yard, Andrew Thornton, who has been such a tower of strength, especially for Ruth's long-term partner Simon, and finally to Clare, of the Injured Jockeys' Fund, who we cannot begin to thank enough for her support.
Although his passing is a sad day for us, every member of the unit counts themselves privileged to have known such a tower of strength and we all are deeply honoured to have served alongside him.
