I have to chuckle whenever I hear about someone proposing legislation to create or increase a sin tax.
Those working families raise children and provide for elderly parents, neither of which seems like an activity deserving of a sin tax.
Even with a sin tax increase and the added sales tax on top of it, business owners don't think people will stop buying tobacco and alcohol.
