down-home
Simple and folksy, as is typical of life in the rural US. Primarily heard in US. The cabin had a cozy, down-home feel to it. A: "I like the down-home vibe of your new place." B: "Thanks! I'm just don't see the point in filling your house with fancy furniture no one's allowed to sit on, you know?" We were all sad to move on from that small town and its friendly, down-home charm.
