close with (someone or something)
1. verb To conclude something, usually an event or performance, with someone or something. For the talent show, let's close with a choir performance. The film opened with that character, so it should close with her too. It's a Broadway play—of course I want it to close with a bombastic and uplifting musical number!

I know he's gotten pretty close with one of his colleagues. They hang out all the time after work. A: "I actually have three siblings, but I'm not close with any of them." B: "Whoa, I just assumed you were an only child."
