To reach an agreement regarding the sale of something, usually property. The seller needs to move in a month, so he's looking for a buyer who can quickly close on a sale. You'll never make it as a car salesman if you can't consistently close on the sale. I can't believe we close on the sale next week. Honey, we'll be living in our dream home before the end of the month!
