be fond of (someone or something)
be fond of (someone or something)
To have an affinity for someone or something. I'm not too fond of Mike—he really annoys me sometimes. I'm cold all the time, so I'm quite fond of summer weather. I do love to read, but I'm not fond of books that get too weird or are meant for academics.
