slang To be something that one is interested in or enjoys. Typically used in negative constructions to convey the opposite. Dancing just isn't my bag—I always look really foolish. You can tell just by looking at her that fashion design is her bag. School's never been my bag. It just bores me, so I've never gotten good grades.
