I agree completely; what you said is especially true. A: "Wow, that exam was brutally difficult." B: "You said it! It was the hardest test I've ever taken."

(informal) I agree completely; that is very true: ‘That was the most boring lecture I’ve ever heard.’ ‘You said it!’

You are absolutely right, I couldn’t agree more. This colloquial Americanism dates from the first half of the 1900s. The British mystery novelist Dorothy Sayers used it in Murder Must Advertise (1933): “‘The idea being that . . . ?’—‘You said it, chief.’” See also you said a mouthful.
