yank (someone or something) into (something or some place)
1. To cause someone or something to enter some place or thing by forceful pulling, tugging, or jerking. Tom yanked me into the room and shut the door behind us so that we could speak in private. You're better off having someone help you than to just yank all that furniture into the house by yourself.
2. To force someone or something into a particular position by pulling, tugging, or jerking. The officer yanked the defendant into a standing position to address the judge. I had to yank the heavy desk into the correct orientation.
