what's coming (to one)

That which one deserves. Usually indicative of some punishment, retribution, or negative consequence. Don't worry about those stool pigeons, we'll make sure they get what's coming. I hope the judge gives that lying weasel what's coming to him.

what one deserves. (*Typically:get ~; have ~; give one ~.) If you cheat, you'll get in trouble. You'll get what's coming to you. They gave Billy what was coming to him.
