1. Of an eye, partially filled with tears. There wasn't an eye in the audience that wasn't wet around the edges by the end of her stunning performance. I'd never seen my father cry before, but even his eyes were wet around the edges when Mary got on the plane to Japan.
2. Mildly drunk. We were all a little wet around the edges by the time we left the bar. I was confused at first why John was being so sentimental, until I realized he'd been drinking whiskey and was wet around the edges.
