try me

1. Give me a chance to do something. Typically used as a set phrase. A: "Bet you can't name all 50 states in under a minute." B: "Try me!" A: "I was thinking that—no, never mind. You'll just laugh and say it's stupid." B: "Try me! Tell me what you were about to say."
2. Go ahead and test whether I'm being serious. Typically said as a threat. A: "There's no way you'd do something so drastic just to settle a score with me!" B: "Oh yeah? Just try me."
