One is really hilarious, entertaining, witty, etc. Sarah's new boyfriend is just too much—he had us in stitches all night! A: "So then I said, 'What, me worry?'" B: "Hahaha! Oh, Connie, you're too much!" That comedian is too much—you guys will laugh yourself silly watching her stand-up special.

Overwhelming or excessive. A: "I got you a brand new pair of diamond earrings for your birthday." B: "Oh my gosh, Jenny, this is just too much! I can't accept such an extravagant gift." I wish he knew how to be a bit more reserved. His profuse declarations of love can be too much at times.
