To lose some competitive game intentionally, especially in order to take advantage of the bets placed on one's odds of winning. Don't you think it's suspicious that they were totally dominating throughout the first three quarters, then they suddenly went to pieces and lost? I'm convinced that they threw the game. A: "You want us to throw the championship game?" B: "You'll each stand to make a million dollars if you do."
