dated The three primary sources of income for most people after retirement: pensions, personal savings and investments, and Social Security benefits. Primarily heard in US. My dad always instilled in me the belief that I had to start building the three-legged stool as soon as I became employed after college. Unfortunately, the economic crisis has shorn one or more legs off the three-legged stool for more citizens.
