It is very unlikely or improbable that (something is the case or will happen). I'm really happy that we've been nominated, but, if I'm being honest, the odds are against us winning. Odds are against a bipartisan deal, but many are remaining hopeful going into the vote. We know the odds are against us, but that's not going to stop us from trying our hardest to win the championship game.
