A time, especially in one's youth or in some bygone era, characterized by success, prosperity, and happiness. The politician lamented the country's days of wine and roses that she claims have been destroyed by the policies of her opponent's party. You may not realize it, but these are the days of wine and roses, so enjoy them while they last.
