To cut or slice something into several or many pieces. A noun or pronoun can be used between "slice" and "up." Would you slice up this bread for me so we can make some sandwiches? The paper flew into the fan, which then sliced it up into a thousand pieces.

to cut someone or something up into slices. The blades of the lawn mower can slice you up if you get too close. The sharp blades sliced up Bobby's rubber ball.
