a skosh

slang Only a little bit; a very small amount. Derived from the Japanese word sukoshi, meaning the same thing. Pronounced with a long O sound, as in "potion." Primarily heard in US. Adjust the mirror a skosh to the right. A: "Would you like some more wine?" B: "Just a skosh, thanks! Just pull the car up a skosh—OK, that's perfect, stop!
