sit through (something)

To endure the entirety of something that one is watching or attending until it is finished. I find that I can never sit through his lecture without getting distracted and doodling in my notebook. I can't believe the kids sat through the entire movie without fidgeting.

to remain seated and in attendance for all of something, even though it is boring or poorly done. I can't stand to sit through that class one more time! Do I have to sit through the whole lecture?
