As we assume that the shadowed regions have almost the same illumination as the nearest non shadow regions [16], we need to compute the mean value for each colour (R, G and B) inside as well as outside shadow regions.
In this framework we use shadowed image pairs covering urban areas with elevated buildings where significant shadow regions appear.
