a phrase indicating that the speaker will see the person spoken to within a few hours at the most. John: I'll see you in a little while. Jane: Okay. Bye till later. Sally: I have to get dressed for tonight. Fred: I'll pick you up about nine. See you in a little while. Sally: See you.
