an early riser

Someone who wakes up and is more active and alert in the early hours of the morning. I tried dating an early riser once, but since I like to sleep in late, it didn't really work out. I suppose it's more out of necessity than anything, but I turned into an early riser as soon as I had kids. I know you're not an early riser, but, if they want you at the office at 7 AM, I guess you're gonna have to change your ways, huh?
