rark up

1. verb To scold, rebuke, or reprimand someone. A noun or pronoun can be used between "rark" and "up." Primarily heard in New Zealand. My parents really rarked me up when they found out what happened.
2. verb To provoke, anger, or irritate someone. A noun or pronoun can be used between "rark" and "up." Primarily heard in New Zealand. You could tell he was just trying to rark up the minister with his comments.
3. noun A reprimand or scolding. Primarily heard in New Zealand. My teacher gave me a real rark up.
4. noun A provocation, affront, or annoyance. Primarily heard in New Zealand. Many believe the outburst was just a rark up to prompt a response by the official.
