play around (with someone)

1. in. to waste time; to waste someone’s time. Stop playing around and get to work.
2. in. to flirt or have an affair with someone. Those two have been playing around for months.
3. in. to tease, deceive, or try to trick someone. You’re playing around with me. Leave me alone.
