1. Not in the correct position; out of alignment. I can see why you're having trouble—your front wheel is out of true.
2. old-fashioned By extension, not correct in form or shape. Though the hound was out of true, with a horribly deformed face and a weak, limping gait, it had the friendliest disposition of any stray animal I had ever encountered.
