1. Older than some particular age. Now that I'm on the other side of 60, I'm ready to sell this big old house. It's too much for me to care for on my own.
2. After something has passed or occurred. I'll get back to you later today—I'll have a better idea of where we stand on the other side of this meeting. I'll see you on the other side of your surgery! I hope it all goes smoothly.
