not see hide (n)or hair of (someone or something)

To see, notice, or experience no trace or evidence of someone or something whatsoever. I don't know where Mike went. I haven't seen hide or hair of him all day. Most of the people involved in the lawsuit never saw hide nor hair of the money from the settlement, since nearly all of it went to the lawyers.
