curl the mo

To do something very successfully; to achieve superior results. Primarily heard in Australia. Wow, that runner sure curled the mo today. She won the race in record time! He's the best swimmer in the heat, so everyone expects him to curl the mo and take home the gold medal. Those two haven't exactly curled the mo in any of their business ventures thus far—that's why I'm hesitant to give them any money.

eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Said when one is choosing someone or something from a group of people or things. When one says "moe," they choose the person or thing that they are currently looking at. The phrase comes from a children's rhyme. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe! You're it! Hmm, which doll should I pick? Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. A: "Daddy will bring everyone else in the van, but you can pick one of your friends to ride to the movies with us." B: "OK, eeny, meeny, miny, moe!"

hang on a mo

Please wait a moment. ("Mo" is short for "moment.") Hang on a mo while I get Katie for you. Just hang on a mo and I'll grab an application for you. Ah, I'm running behind! Can you tell them to hang on a mo?

MO

A unique and habitual method of doing something. An initialism of the Latin phrase modus operandi (literally "mode of operation"). Used especially in reference to criminal behavior. OK, this guy's M.O. is breaking into houses completely at random and not taking anything. So then what's his motive? Most serial killers have some sort of M.O. If we can determine that, then we may be able to stop this maniac.
