luck into (something)

To happen to obtain, achieve, or enter into something primarily due to good fortune. I really lucked into a wonderful graduate school program. I have the most amazing group of professors and peers! We lucked into some free tickets to The Rolling Stones when my wife's coworker suddenly wasn't able to go.
