keep until (some point in time)
1. Of food, to remain fresh or unspoiled until a certain point in time. I don't think the meat will keep until we get home if we stop off at the playground. The casserole should keep until the party this weekend, right?
2. To maintain possession or custody of someone or something until a certain point in time. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "keep" and "until." My mom and dad are going to keep the kids until we're back from our trip. They said they will keep your item until 5 PM today. After that, they will dispose of it.
