Being sorry for what you said or did does not change the harm you did or the trouble you're in. A: "Look, I'm sorry for what I did. I didn't think it would cause any harm!" B: "It's too late for sorry, Charlie! I lost my job because of you. I never want to see you again." A: "I said I was sorry. You know that I love you—what happened between me and Tom meant nothing!" B: "It's too late for sorry, Clare. I'm leaving."
