into (a bit of) a jam

In a troublesome situation. I've gotten myself into a bit of a jam—I accidentally made plans with two different men tonight! It's not your fault—we only got into a jam because the hotel gave our room away! You could say we've gotten into a bit of a jam—the client doesn't like the job we've done, and they want it fixed in less than a week.
