In someone's care or custody. I knew I shouldn't have left such an expensive item in the trust of my assistant. Back in my day, it was normal to leave your kids in the trust of your neighbors if you had to step out for a while. No, I refuse to leave my kids in my irresponsible sister's trust, even for a few hours!
