To walk or move around (some place) with a halting or limping gait. I stubbed my toe on the corner of the dresser and spent the next five minutes hobbling around. I hope the doctor gives me good news today—I'm so sick of hobbling around with this cast on my foot. A: "Are you OK? Why are you hobbling around like that?" B: "Ugh, I twisted my ankle in the parking lot this morning."
