To reconsider something; to begin to doubt a previous determination or commitment to something. Why are you hesitating? You're not having second thoughts, are you? A: "Where's the bride?" B: "I don't know. Maybe she had second thoughts." I was sure I had seen the rare bird, but now I'm having second thoughts.
