informal To have not seen someone in a very long, often indefinite period of time. Primarily heard in UK, Australia, New Zealand. Hey, Al, haven't seen you in yonks! How have you been? A: "Did you have a nice meeting with Jonathan?" B: "Yeah! I hadn't seen him in yonks, so we had loads to catch up on." I hadn't seen Charlotte in yonks, so I didn't even recognize her!
