have no chance in hell

To be completely impossible or incredibly unlikely; to have no chance whatsoever. Usually followed by "of" and the thing that is said to be impossible. A Democrat has no chance in hell of winning an election in this part of Texas. We have no chance in hell if we have to compete against some mega corporation like that! I knew I had no chance in hell of getting in, but I sent in my application anyway.
